Considering The Katmint Learning Initiative for your after school needs? Welcome all families!
As part of our offering to Bedstuy community, families are encouraged to apply to our afterschool pick up opportunities. We aim to help make your child’s day a more rewarding experience with safe passage from their full-day school to our program, daily enrichment activities and special programs!
HOURS OF OPERATION
The Katmint After-School Program operates Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm or extended day until 6:00pm when school is in session.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The Katmint After-School Program will follow all DOE calendar year closings and which includes all inclement weather closing. Therefore, a decision can be made to close by early morning or there may be mid-day school closure. Families will be notified with as much notice allowed that the after-school program will be closed. If looking for full day drop-in services on a public school please reach out to us. Please take a look at our school calendar for closures will not provide afterschool or pick up.

The After-School Program is a tuition based program open to all within the following zip codes 11221 and 11233. Please see what we offer below
WHAT WE OFFER
Our program is offered to Pre-K up to 1st grade. It is organized with specific learning objectives and enrichment programming in mind. Our curriculum is used as a guide to expand and extend a student’s learning. Independence skills, academic skills, and social interactions are all primary components of the curriculum. These skills are honed through hands-on experiences in the following areas including but not limited to:
- Arts & Crafts :

- Yoga
- Music
- Spanish
- Capoeira
