The Katmint Scholarship Fund

The Katmint Scholarship Fund is made possible by the fundraising efforts of the Katmint team and community as well as The Katmint’s extended network of supporters. The Katmint looks forward to continuing to grow this fund that exemplifies how families with shared values can work cooperatively to support each other and strengthen our school community.

Who Can Apply?

Currently enrolled or prospective families are eligible to apply. Through the application process, families are asked to submit information and documentation reflecting their income. Selections are made on first-come, first-served basis. Based on a review of the submitted documents, families may qualify for between 10% to 100% of their tuition covered by The Katmint Scholarship Fund. Determining factors are gross income and family size. We will reference the salary ranges from the AMI (Average Median Income) rates for 2019.

Given this is the first year of the Fund, our program looks to offer the scholarship to five qualifying families each year. Out of the five families, Katmint will offer 1 qualifying family a full scholarship covering 100% of their annual tuition costs.

At this time, we may not be able to offer the full percentage of discount that every family applying may qualify for, yet we will work with each qualifying family to explore supportive options.

Online Security Note: The application is a JotForm. JotForms are served across protected 256 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection that uses a SHA256 Certificate. This is the same level of protection used by online banking or e-commerce providers.

Considerations for Tuition Assistance Decisions

Katmint considers many factors when estimating a qualifying family’s tuition assistance percentage. For instance, we consider the following details, in addition to others, to determine annual household income: gross salaries and wages, assets, real estate equity, mortgage or rental payments, employer allowances, and unemployment compensation. Additional considerations include family size, which we may verify from an individual’s most up-to-date tax returns.
