Health & Safety

Health and safety for every member of our community remains top priority. With joint efforts, we move forward with an Addendum to our School Safely Plan to provide a calm and healthy environment for students to thrive in.  Below you can read our procedures in response to Covid-19.

  • All staff have undergone thorough training (online or in person) of COVID-19 symptoms and preventative precautions prior to reopening.
  • The use of face coverings and other protective gear are required for all staff at all times during the school day.
  • Families must fill out a health and habits questionnaire prior to arrival. Green screens are confirmed before the student can wash hands and enter the classroom.
  • Following the green screen confirmation, a staff member records the child’s temperature and performs a visual health check.
  • Staggered arrival and dismissal times are required to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
  • Any child or staff member who is sick or demonstrates even mild symptoms will not be allowed into the building and sent our access link for Remote Learning.
  • No visitors are allowed into the building. A staff member meets families at the door during arrival/departure.
  • All classes are reduced in size so as to minimize potential transmission and exposure of the virus. Each class size is no more than 12.
  • We no longer serve lunch and snack family style. All food is either brought from home or prepared by Red Rabbit and individually wrapped for safety.
  • Whenever possible, we will use outdoor play areas and maximize airflow throughout our school.
  • All attending families have to sign our COVID-19 PROGRAM ATTENDANCE ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND DISCLOSURE form, initialing agreement to each of our Covid Health Procedures and Practices.
